Founder of the Streets Barber and The Clean Cut Clean Start initiative, Nasir Sobhani offers free haircuts to people living on the streets or experiencing hardship. His story of overcoming addiction together with his spirit of generosity and compassion for the community, has seen him recognised globally.
Former #1 AFL draft pick and Western Bulldogs Premiership player Tom Boyd walked away from a multi-million dollar contract to carve out a life away from football. Now a VU Business graduate, he is a passionate advocate for mental health and speaks openly and honestly about his own experience.
After arriving in Australia as a refugee, Bachelor of Arts graduate Nyadol Nyuon has gone on to become a lawyer, activist and writer. In 2019 she was ranked 11 in the Australian Financial Review Most Influential Women in Australia. Nyadol has recently returned to Victoria University as Director of the Sir Zelman Cowen Centre.
